1. Add 28.51 gm powder to distilled/purified water and bring volume to 1.0 liter.
2. Gently heat and bring to boiling.
3. Autoclave at 15 psi pressure at 121°C for 15 minutes.
4. To prepare fermentation medium, add 0.5-1.0% desired carbohydrate. Mix well.
5. Dispense into sterile test tubes.
6. Cool tubes in an upright position.
